Welcome to the Chico Evangelical Free Church College Ministry! We offer creative, Bible-based ministry focusing on relationship building, service opportunities and spiritual growth. Some of the ways we do this are through:
|
|
Bible Study: Our home group studies are in depth, discussion-oriented and very practical. Led by experienced Bible teachers, these studies generally run 20 to 30 students per meeting and ofter are accompanied by a meal.
Social Activities: We offer a variety of social events, from movie nights and snow trips to dances and concerts. These events are usually held in conjunction with several other Chico college ministries and attract large groups of students.
Outreach: In recent months groups of our students have ventured onto the CSU campus to engage non-Chritian students in dialogues about faith issues. They have also reached out to the denizens of downtown Chico to build connections and share the love of Christ.

|
Missions: For the last three years EFCC students have taken short-term mission trips through our church as well as para church mission organizations. Students have traveled to Africa, Peru, Australia, Thailand, Mexico and other far flung regions to carry the Gospel message.
Small Groups: In addition to our Bible studies, we also offer small (6 to 10 people) Bible based, support-oriented, prayer-and-dialogue-driven groups. These groups are sometimes student led.
Mentoring: For students seeking one-on-one discipling with a more mature Christian, we have experienced men and women available for mentoring relationships.

Retreats: We enjoy getting away frequently to seclouded mountain settings for relaxation, recreation and rejuvenation! Sometimes we take a small groups to lakeside cabins. And sometimes we join with other college groups as large alpine retreat centers. Both large and small group retreats are popular with our students, and wonderful sources of spiritual enrichment.
Service Opportunities: We provide many opportunities for students to serve our church and community, from working with our children and youth on Sunday mornings, to mentoring local high school students, to volunteer community service projects. Whatever your passion to serve may be, we have a ministry you can participate in.
Unity Project: This is the college co-op we participate in. Along with a handful of other Chico college ministries, EFCC students join together for worship events, prayer meetings, Bible studies, socials, sports and mission trips. On Saturday nights the Unity Project holds a worship service at Selvester's Cafe on the chico State University campus. The meeting starts at 7 pm and is usually led by EFCC College Pastor Art Wrthington. For more information on Unity Project times and locations, check out the website: http://www.chicounityproject.com
