MOPS is an international program that celebrates motherhood, endeavoring to meet the young mother's needs by making connections and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources.  One can see that in today's world,  the mother of a young child is not built up or applauded for her decision to raise her children, especially if she stays at home to do so. 

MOPS motto:

MOPS motto in their literature that "...because mothering matters..." is especially significant because mothering does indeed matter, especially to our God.  MOPS can give women a real picture of what a Christian mother looks like, what a Christian home looks like, who God is and that He loves her.

MOPS meetings:

Meetings at EV Free are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, September through May, 6:45 PM - 8:30 PM.   MOPS will begin again on September 4, 2007.  There are opportunities for women to have table discussions, time for fellowship and creativity with craft projects, and to hear informative speakers on various family-related topics.  Delicious snacks provided.

Fees:

Fees for the year 2006-2007 are $40.00 which includes registration (a part of which goes to MOPS International), all craft fees, and a welcome packet including a children's video and other resources.  Scholarships are available.
